BOC Gas Supply Centre
Hamilton
BOC is a leading supplier of industrial gases, welding equipment, and safety solutions across New Zealand. Their Hamilton Gas Supply Centre in Te Rapa is a key hub for customers in the Waikato region, providing everything from gas cylinders to workplace safety gear. With a 280 sqm facility, the team needed a warehouse racking fitout that would maximise space, ensure compliance, and make smart use of existing pallet racking.
Shelving Depot delivered a 280 sqm warehouse fitout in Hamilton for BOC South Pacific, providing a compliant pallet racking installation that reused existing materials to reduce costs and waste. With in-house engineering expertise, clear communication and smooth relocation, we ensured a safe and efficient warehouse racking solution with minimal disruption.
We were grateful for the opportunity to support BOC Hamilton with a warehouse racking project that balanced efficiency, compliance and sustainability.
When BOC South Pacific approached us about their warehouse fitout, they had one key request: reuse the materials they already had. This would reduce waste and minimise their overall investment.
While reusing racking is often straightforward, in this case the materials needed to be cut to a new height and have all baseplates replaced to meet current standards. With access to compatible components across multiple brands, and in-house engineering expertise, we made it happen.
Because materials were being relocated from one active site to another, coordination across teams was critical. We worked closely with the BOC team to plan dismantling schedules, ensuring they had time to unload racking sections before we began work.
This allowed us to move efficiently without disrupting their operations. That level of coordination, combined with a professional install and clear safety standards, helped ensure the process ran smoothly from start to finish.
BOC Hamilton now has a fit-for-purpose warehouse racking system that supports their operations today and into the future.
